Lawn care built for Utah soil, Utah water and Utah weather

Most lawn programs are designed somewhere with rain. Ours is designed for alkaline clay that locks up iron, summers that run 95 degrees for weeks, a short growing season that starts three weeks later in Heber than in Provo, and city watering schedules that get tighter every drought year. Every visit we make is timed to what cool-season grass in Utah County actually needs that month, and every product we use is chosen for this soil.

We are one locally owned branch, not a call center. Terra runs the business from Spanish Fork, and the phone number on this page rings here. If something is not right, you tell us and we fix it. That is the whole model.

How it works

  • Free quote. Call, text or use the form. We measure your lawn from aerial imagery and give you an exact per-service price, usually the same day. No visit required to get a number.
  • We schedule the season. Visits are set on a five to seven week cycle for your area. You get a text and an email the day before each one.
  • Treat, report, repeat. The technician treats the whole lawn or the whole perimeter, notes anything you should know about, and you get a report within the hour. Pay per visit or prepay the season and save 5 percent.
  • Guaranteed. If a treatment does not do what it should, we re-treat free. If that does not fix it, we refund the last application. Certain restrictions apply.

Why a Utah County lawn needs a different program

Three things make lawns here harder than almost anywhere else, and they shape everything we do.

  • Alkaline clay. Soil pH between 7.5 and 8.3 ties up iron, so lawns go pale even when fed. Our fertilizer carries sulfur to push back on the alkalinity and iron for color without surge growth, and fall aeration keeps the clay open so any of it reaches the roots.
  • Dry heat and tight water. Utah is the second driest state. Hydra-Guard helps water soak in instead of running off, and we schedule the lightest feeding in the hottest weeks so the lawn is not pushed when it is stressed.
  • A short season at two elevations. Pre-emergent that goes down the first week of April in Provo needs to wait until late April in Heber City. We schedule by soil temperature and elevation, not by a national calendar.

If you want the details, the fertilization and weed control page walks through every visit and what it does.
