The 2027 Lawn Care Season Schedule for Utah County and the Heber Valley

Every visit in the 2027 Lawn Maintainer season, with the window it lands in for Provo, Orem and Spanish Fork and the later window for Heber and Park City, plus what to do between visits.
Lawn programs are easier to trust when you can see the whole year at once. Here is what the 2027 Lawn Maintainer season looks like in Utah County and the Heber Valley: six visits, seven services, what each one does, and when it lands depending on where you live. Dates are windows, not appointments; we move them with the weather, and you get a text and an email the day before every visit.
Why the dates are different for Heber and Park City
The Heber Valley sits about 1,000 feet above Provo and Park City higher still. The ground thaws two to three weeks later, the first hard freeze comes two to three weeks earlier, and crabgrass germinates a month later than it does on the valley floor. Every window below has two columns for that reason. If we ran Heber on the valley schedule, the first pre-emergent would go down on frozen ground and the last feeding would land after the snow.
The 2027 season at a glance
- Round 1, early spring. Valley floor: mid March to mid April. Heber and Park City: early to late April. Pre-emergent plus a balanced spring fertilizer and broadleaf weed control. The pre-emergent needs about a half inch of water within a few days to activate.
- Round 2, late spring. Valley floor: late April to May. Heber: May to early June. Second pre-emergent to extend the crabgrass barrier and catch spurge, plus fertilizer and weed control. Hydra-Guard goes on this visit or the next for customers who add it.
- Round 3, early summer, double service. Valley floor: June. Heber: mid June to early July. Fertilizer and weed control plus preventive grub control, two services on one visit. Grub control is included for every program customer and bills as its own line.
- Round 4, midsummer. Valley floor: July to early August. Heber: late July to mid August. A heat-season fertilizer that keeps color without pushing soft growth, and weed control as needed. This is the round where watering, not fertilizer, decides how the lawn looks.
- Round 5, late summer. Valley floor: late August to September. Heber: mid August to early September. The most important feeding of the year for bluegrass: it rebuilds roots after summer stress. Aeration and overseeding happen in this window too.
- Round 6, fall. Valley floor: October to early November. Heber: late September to mid October. Late-fall fertilizer that stores nutrients for a fast green-up next spring, plus weed control that hits perennial weeds while they are pulling energy into their roots.
The add-ons and when they land
- Hydra-Guard. Late May or June, once, before the first stretch of 90 degree days. Helps water soak into clay and stay in the root zone through July and August.
- Core aeration and overseeding. Valley floor: late August to mid October. Heber and Park City: mid August to late September. Spring is the second-best window.
- Tree and shrub care. Dormant oil in late winter, then feeding and insect and disease treatments through the season.
- Perimeter pest control. Six visits from March to November on the valley floor, May to October in Heber, timed to ants, wasps, earwigs, spiders and boxelder bugs in that order.
- Sprinkler blowouts. Valley floor: mid to late October. Heber: late September to mid October. Before the first hard freeze, every year.
What to do between visits
- Water each treatment in by the following morning unless we tell you otherwise, and keep kids and pets off until it is dry.
- Water deep and less often: about an inch a week in spring and fall, up to an inch and a half in July and August, in two or three early-morning cycles.
- Mow at three to three and a half inches, keep the blade sharp, and leave the clippings.
- Reply to any text or email from us if you see weeds, bugs or brown spots between visits. Covered problems are re-treated at no charge.
Pricing and prepay for 2027
Pricing is by measured lawn size. Current rates start at $67 per service for lawns under 3,000 square feet, and most residential lawns run $67 to $117 per service. Prices do not change at renewal, and prepaying the season saves 5 percent and locks your rate for the year even if rates rise later. Current customers get their 2027 schedule and renewal by email in the first week of November. New customers can get an exact price before the first visit from a free quote.
